1121 Extra Long Grain Rice
This extra-long grain rice is the specialty food that has an exceptional taste, slender edgy shape and a fragrance that will simply overcome the perception of an entity enjoying a meal. Extra-long grain 1121 Basmati rice is with no doubt the ultra-superior quality that once cooked has separate grains.
PK-386 Long Grain Rice is non-aromatic and non-basmati rice but its cooking characters are observed close to Basmati. This variety has gained substantial space on shelves of Gulf Market and commonly known as Biryani Rice. This variety caters the middle class rice eaters as it is second to Super Basmati Rice but far better than IRRI-09 Long Grain Rice. Though it is called Long Grain Rice but its texture and taste is quite close to Super Basmati Rice. Total Production of PK-386 Long Grain Rice in Pakistan remains around 0.50 million Tons.
Irri-6 and KS-282
These two varieties are considered almost the same but KS-282 Long Grain Rice is having better Quality than IRRI-06 Long Grain Rice. KS-282 purely hails from Punjab Region of Pakistan while IRRI-06 Long Grain is the crop of Sindh Region of Pakistan. KS-282 shows less belly white character, less sticky as compared to IRRI-06 and having more physical length but overall graded under same cadre of Long Grain Rice. Most of the times the prices of KS-282 Long Grain Rice remains at higher end but months between September to December, it remains almost equal or sometimes competitive than IRRI-06 and gets good demand from customers.
